Dr. K. Rama Krishna Reddy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at TKR College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. He earned his Ph.D. and M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna, with research focused on numerical modelling of soil wetting patterns for efficient drip irrigation system design. His expertise includes Water Resources Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Hydrology, Numerical Modelling, GIS, Remote Sensing, MATLAB, and Hydraulic Modelling. Dr. Reddy has published research papers in reputed international journals and presented his work at national and international conferences. He served as a Teaching Assistant at a premier institute during his doctoral studies and later worked as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at a reputed engineering college in Tirupati, where he gained valuable academic and administrative experience. He has also guided several Undergraduate projects. He actively participates in faculty development programmes and has delivered invited lectures on Remote Sensing and GIS applications. Passionate about research, innovation, and outcome-based education, he is committed to empowering future civil engineers through quality teaching, industry collaboration, and sustainable engineering practices.

The Department of Civil Engineering has been producing high quality technical manpower needed by industry, R&D organizations, and academic institutions since 2004 with an Intake of 60. The intake has been increased to 120 in the year 2009 and 180 in the year 2014. The Department started offering M.Tech with Structural Engineering specialization in 2010 with an intake of 18, two more courses at P.G level- geotechnical engineering and transportation engineering are being offered from the academic year 2013-2014 with an intake of 24 each. The department was accredited by NBA in the year 2014.
